Responsible to support the CIB Business Partner in achieving and effecting plans on the overall CIB performance. Implement a reporting framework down to product level P&L to help elevate the performance of the Segment and Bank’s topline. Have MI & reporting, stakeholder management and business experience that can be leveraged in a business performance and analytics environment.

Report a P&L by product and provide insights to improve product performance (stand-alone or portfolio). Analyze product performance based on return vs risk vs capital and make recommendations (discontinue; keep; increase) aligned with the Bank’s strategic business objectives. Contribute to the definition of FTP and pricing (PRICO) strategies in collaboration with Business, FDS and Treasury. Correlate and substantiate product performance with the Bank’s strategy as well as regulatory and macro-economics (MEV; seasonality, etc).

 

▪ Business Support

Partner with the CIB Business Partner CIB Business Partner to implement the strategy and drive business performance; operationalize the strategic pillars of the Finance function and contribute to global enablement of finance initiatives. Coordinate CIB Business Partner key projects from planning to conclusion to ensure delivery of strategic objectives, on time and within budget. Manage intra-departmental projects and drive execution.

 

▪ Stakeholder engagement

Where required, follow up on cross business matters and any party engagements necessary.

 

▪ Business Functions Liaison

Build and maintain sound relationships with business and drive top line performance.

 

▪ Continuous improvement/Innovation

Actively initiate and drive innovation and sophistication in the Finance space, identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes, and the achievement of business excellence. Make proposals for new products in line with client needs and local and global market trends.

 

Guarantee proper data governance and substantiation of the information reported. Source the golden source for data on product at a granular level (detail: revenue, client, transactions, volumes etc) and validate it with the meta-data.
